The Shake Down residential in Cēsis

From June 27 till July 1 the second residential of The Shake Down is taking place in Riga and Rucka Artist Residency in Cesis.

During the residency Ikars, Estere, Samuel, Albert, Karu, Annie, Margit, Nikolai, Hedda and Zahida together with their mentors and workshop leaders are working on the International Festival of Contemporary Theatre “Homo Novus” last weekend programme “Shake Down”.

“The theme of the festival will be dedicated to the changes associated with growing up. Aging in reverse could be the most accurate description of the Shake Down programme,” say the young curators who intend to include works by both internationally renowned and local performing artists that can reach an audience of different generations.

The programme will be announced in mid August!

“The Shake Down” (Nr. EEZ/2021/1/15) total eligible costs are € 249 635,00. The project benefits from a € 212 189,75 grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants and € 37 445,25 from national co-financing. The aim of the project is to promote the involvement of young people in solving issues of public importance and participation in the cultural life of the city.
